What we do

S.A.M are a group of people who have an interest in driving to an advanced level. Our aim is to promote the benefits of becoming an advanced driver, and assist people who want to pass their I.A.M driving test by providing free guidance and assistance using our own groups Observers.
All Observers are group members who have joined, passed their I.A.M test, and decided to go on and pass on their knowledge and experience to those new members (or 'Associates').
We also enjoy social occasions and arrange events such as treasure hunts, coastal picnics etc as well as our monthly meetings.

Monthly meetings

Meetings are held every month except August. The theme is usually, although not always, directly motoring related, and guest speakers may be invited to attend (topics covered recently include Police driver training techniques, Fire & Rescue techniques in dealing with vehicle safety systems, night driving) or occasionally we hold quizzes or event nights (10 pin bowling etc)
The calendar of events for the coming meetings can be found here

Monthly Newsletters

The group publish a monthly newsletter, containing various articles that may be related to road safety or advanced driving, jokes, quiz questions, and any news relating to the group. It also has details of upcoming events. Members can elect to receive this as a letter, or by email as a pdf or rtf attachment.
