Precision driving event 2008
The weather spirits were shining on us again for our annual precision driving event, once again held at Nissan. SAM are very grateful to Nissan for their assistance in setting this up as without them it would probably wouldnt happen (and a big thanks to the catering staff from a very full webmaster :)
An added attraction this year was the chance to drive a fire engine, and a lot of fun was had by all trying to manouevre it into the garages and between the end boards. Many thanks to Terry for bringing this, hopefully we'll have a full article on this and other interesting vehicles in time.
"and if you press this button the sirens come on and they all jump"

As usual Linda was on target for a good run

With the Caterham missing this year it was up to David to go topless in his very nice Mazda

Our guests this year came from the Durham group, and put up a good show

Excuse me sir, do you have a few minutes to help with some research.....Damn, wrong job

Although the car park was quite full for late arrivals, is there any call for parking like this?

The pressure was telling on some, others were fairly laid back about it

Just go where I'm pointing. We'll get him from behind. He's the one that said women cant drive!

Did I touch that? Did anyone notice? If I look innocent I'll get away with it

A big thanks to 'Doc' and his glamorous assistant Tracey, many thanks for doing the sums

Dunno what you're complaining about Alan, you won the fire engine section

and our overall winner (no, he won the competition, not a pair of overalls) well done to Steven Hunter

Thanks to everyone who came along, those who helped run the day, and the staff at Nissan who kept us fed and watered. Here's to next year!
